Crusoe Interview Questions

Crusoe Interview Questions

Crusoe's Software Engineer loop shows up here as five reported questions, and every one of them came from an engineering round rather than a recruiter conversation. Three are coding problems and two are system design. The coding side leans practical over puzzle: printing a binary tree as aligned text so the structure still reads in a terminal, working out a charge when a single price override lands mid-period, then extending that into interval overrides sitting next to a top-K strings exercise. Billing arithmetic turning up twice in a set this small tells you something about what the team builds. The design side is the same brief from two different candidates, both asking for a Slack-like messaging platform: channels, fan-out when a message is sent, presence, and history that stays cheap to page through as it grows. Three questions were asked onsite and two in the technical screen. Nothing here is rated hard; three sit at medium and two at easy, which fits a loop that cares more about whether you write correct code you can defend than whether you have memorised a graph trick. Three open in a runnable console, two carry a written solution, and 20% of the set reads without premium.
