Millennium Interview Questions
Millennium's seven reported questions spread across three roles: four Software Engineer, two Data Scientist and one Product Manager, which is a wider mix than most hedge fund slices this size. Five were asked in a technical screen, one onsite, one in an HR screen. The agent questions are the ones worth reading first, because they are posed the way a trading firm would pose them rather than as generic LLM chat: evaluating an agentic decision system end to end, and designing a governed agent for portfolio rebalancing, where the marks are in the guardrails, the audit trail, and who signs off before an order reaches the market. The engineering questions are ordinary in a good way. Design a data structure that stores anagrams so lookups by letter multiset stay cheap, and debug a Python async HTTP flow where output goes missing, which usually resolves to a coroutine nobody awaited or a task created without anything holding a reference to it. Data science appears as modelling stock price prediction, and the HR screen is a first-round conversation about background and motivation. Six of the seven are rated medium and one easy, six carry a written solution, one opens a console, and 71% of the set is free to read.
