Account Executive interview at Attentive: interview experience

The intended process was recruiter screen, hiring-manager round, VP screen, and panel presentation, but my own process ended after the hiring-manager call. I did not reach the later stages.

That manager interaction threw me off. She did not build rapport and came across as stand-offish, as though she was checking boxes. The questions were not the problem, but the call felt like a prove-it-fast exercise rather than a conversation. I felt the outcome had already been decided and would have opted out after that interaction alone.

The follow-up made it worse. The recruiter never told me I was not advancing. I only realized I had been cut when I received a form to review the interview. The experience felt unpolished and dismissive, and it left me thinking candidate communication and professionalism mattered more than the formal stage structure.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: no offer.
