I went through a conventional recruiter, tech-screen, and onsite flow. The questions covered data structures and algorithms, system design, and why I wanted to work at Anduril. The onsite was the main day, but the atmosphere did not match what I had hoped for.
At one point, it felt like everyone was tired and the logistics were chaotic, based on how the interviewers talked about their situation. The disconnect seemed larger than scheduling problems. I heard comments that made it seem to me that management and product readiness did not align with how things were marketed. I also had to repeat myself to multiple panelists, and I presented a project to the team in my final onsite.
I was treated professionally, but the experience dragged out. HR took extra time before telling me I did not get the job. I appreciated the call, although it felt a little misleading given how things had sounded earlier. I left without an offer feeling that the technical bar may have existed, while the environment around it made the process feel less trustworthy than it should have.
