The process began with an online coding assessment that took me about an hour, even though it was described as a roughly two-hour test. I felt confident after finishing it, but I didn’t hear anything afterward and received a rejection notification a couple of days later.
I also interviewed with DRW for a technical role in Singapore, and that process took much longer than I expected. I completed every assigned stage quickly, but each step slipped by a week or more. One round took nearly a month just to schedule. I appreciated the opportunity to interview and felt that I had done well enough to match what they were asking. The final rejection cited a generic reason, saying that other candidates were a better fit, and specifically mentioned my lack of prior trading experience, even though that requirement hadn’t come up earlier.
The long, uncoordinated timeline was frustrating, especially because the final decision seemed to rely on a factor I hadn’t understood to be important. I didn’t get an offer, and the process communicated very little about what actually drove the decision.
