I had a referral, and three days after the referral I received an HR phone-screen invitation.
I scheduled the call for the next day. The HR interviewer was very experienced. They did not ask me to introduce myself and instead moved directly from small talk into questions about my previous experience. They asked follow-up questions based on our conversation, and we spoke for about 30 minutes.
The topics we discussed included:
- Why I left my previous job
- What I knew about EY and this group before I was referred
- Why I wanted to join EY
- Whether I had worked with external clients in my previous job
- Whether I had experience doing external projects
- Whether I had experience with domain knowledge, data processing, or process optimization that the project team would use
- My current visa situation
P.S. EY currently has a hard time providing H-1B sponsorship or transfers and prefers candidates with a green card or EAD.
Good luck, everyone!
