My first in-person interaction focused on what the role meant day to day. They explained the position, the research and selection area, the team, and the kind of consulting work involved. We also discussed contract types, hybrid work, the selection process, and relationships with clients.
The later conversations focused on recruitment and culture rather than heavy testing. I met people connected to the campus or recruiting route, then had a more in-depth manager discussion about motivation for recruitment and personality. There was also a career-day-style element where I could see the company and team environment.
The process felt interactive and grounded in the work, though parts were pressure filled. I was in an assessment setting with other candidates, and the format tested how I handled that. I did not receive an offer, but I came away with a clearer picture of the consulting setup and why the process can feel intense without being very technical.
