The interview began with a booking-data SQL problem involving filtering and aggregation, then moved to a coin-change DSA exercise. It also covered dependency injection and a design-flavored RAG-with-images question.
Later I got a MySQL system-design and scaling question, so it was not only coding. I had to reason about architecture and tradeoffs. We also covered resume-aligned framework concepts such as dependency injection and middleware, plus SQL relationships. The interviewer appeared to layer the difficulty from databases to algorithms to software-design fundamentals.
The wider process included HR discussion of JD and profile fit, location, and salary. I received an offer. The breadth was more aggressive than I expected, and the system-thinking questions were where I had to stay sharp and organized.
