One part of my process felt light technically for how long it took. After a recruiter-style step, I completed a live case study that lasted 1.5 hours. I used Python, or another tool of my choice, for the main technical task. The case study took up most of the time; I also gave a presentation and answered questions from people presented as stakeholders.
In a separate recruiter-to-tech-screen path, the first substantive hurdle was about 45 minutes of SQL. I got through the coding portion, but the feedback was that I did not meet what the team wanted, particularly on experimentation experience and SQL strength, which was central to the job.
Both experiences felt somewhat straightforward technically, though neither was quick or emotionally effortless.
Location: New York, NY. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
