AR (Circle): A lot of the questions had already shown up in earlier interview reports, but the interviewer followed up heavily based on how I answered, and I'm honestly not sure whether I actually landed on what she was looking for.
AE (Ads in Feed): Most of it was also questions from prior interview reports. The interviewer had a fairly strong accent and her questions weren't always clear, so it took me a bit to understand what she was asking — I ended up asking a lot of clarifying questions. She was nice about it though, and gave hints when I got something wrong.
BQ: She asked a few of the most common behavioral questions — most challenging project, how to convince others, how you've helped others, etc. The interviewer was really nice, and after pretty much every answer she'd say things like "amazing," "impressive" — very generous with the encouragement.
SQL: This was an Oculus question from prior interview reports. The first two parts were easy, but partway through Q3 the interviewer asked me to compare users who only use the "game" category against users who only use "social," which meant modifying the query I already had, and I completely froze up because I got nervous. She tried her best to give me hints, but I still couldn't finish it in time. Thinking about it afterward, it really wasn't that hard — but live-coding under pressure, my brain just stopped working. She mixed in a few product questions along the way that weren't very deep. I felt like this round was going to be a fail, and I was really upset about it — by the time she was answering my questions afterward, I wasn't even in the mood to listen anymore.
SQL Q3: Here is a hypothesis, people who use "social" compared to people who use "game" category are more engaged on a regular basis. How to approve it?
