My Netflix Software Engineer process took a little more than two months from applying to accepting an offer. What surprised me was the number of steps. I went through seven interviews, a mix of technical rounds and behavioral conversations, so it felt like a long, involved process rather than a quick loop.
The technical side covered coding and systems design style thinking. The difficulty felt high and cumulative. The behavioral conversations were not generic either. They included product sense and general fit questions, which made it clear that they cared about how I thought as well as whether I could solve problems.
The decision came quickly relative to the overall length of the process, but it still felt like a gauntlet. I left with the sense that they were enforcing a consistent bar across technical depth and the judgment I brought to my answers.
Location: United States. Overall feedback: neutral. Offer status: got offer.
