Northrop Grumman Software Engineer interview with a one-hour behavioral round

I started with a recruiter introduction call, followed by a one-hour behavioral interview with a manager. The questions were fairly standard for an entry-level software engineering track, and they didn’t go deeply into complex technical trivia. There was no presentation, and the process felt organized and smooth.

I spent most of the interview explaining my experience clearly and answering behavioral questions about ownership and collaboration. When technical topics came up, they stayed relevant to the role rather than requiring extended problem solving on the spot.

Afterward, I felt the process would be easy to navigate. Nothing about it felt adversarial. I also remember that onboarding afterward went smoothly, which matched the tone of the interview. I left thinking the evaluation focused more on communication and baseline fit than on challenging me technically.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: Got offer.
