I attended a graduate assessment centre arranged as a group interview, and the logistics overshadowed everything else. I was told to be there at 8:45 for a 9:00 start, but no one was at the front desk for a while. Around 9:10, I was still waiting with no clear guidance.
At the introduction, I learned that the assessment was actually scheduled for 9:30, so I had effectively been asked to arrive 45 minutes early. I expected a peer session too, but the attendees were middle-aged rather than the peer group I had expected. I later learned that the company had not had a proper graduate intake for years.
The interview itself was not particularly hard. I came away thinking the day had not been well planned, and that was hard to overlook.
