Pinterest Software Engineer interview: route reconstruction and Sparse Matrix

I expected Pinterest to be intense, but the technical interview was surprisingly light. There were only two coding questions, and both were straightforward enough that I felt a little underwhelmed afterward. One asked me to reconstruct routes from unordered travel tickets. The other was to implement a Sparse Matrix class.

I had prepared with PracHub case studies, which gave me a useful structure for explaining my thinking while I coded. After the technical portion, the rest of the process moved as I expected for a smaller loop. I did receive an offer, but I declined it because I wanted a more challenging environment than this round of interviews represented to me.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: got offer.
