The Siemens process felt structured and focused on technical depth without becoming a huge drawn-out process. I went through rounds that mixed coding and probing with a manager discussion and an HR step. Throughout, the questions kept coming back to my resume.
In the technical rounds, I discussed core data structures and algorithms as well as real-world problem-solving scenarios. I had to explain projects in enough detail to say what I did and defend the technical decisions I made. They were looking for practical application of concepts, not just the ability to name them. I especially noticed how much attention they gave to my explanation of tradeoffs and reasoning.
The manager and HR conversations carried the same professional, focused tone. By the end it was apparent the process was not leading to an offer. Still, I thought the experience was solid: challenging enough to matter, but organized enough that it did not feel random.
