Symbotic Software Engineer interview: long wait after final rounds

I began with a Microsoft Teams recruiter screen. The recruiter explained the role and reviewed my resume, and the follow-up interviews stayed close to my background: basic behavioral questions, what I had done before, and what I could bring to the team.

There were several conversations, including an on-site element and a final director discussion that was presented as time for my questions. The people were friendly and knowledgeable, and it did not turn into an intense coding process. The problem was communication. I waited weeks for a clear update, asked for feedback after the last rounds, and then the process went silent. I was not offered the role, and the delay without closure is what stayed with me.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: no offer.
