I started with an online HackerRank test, then had a series of virtual interviews. The first technical round covered data structures, algorithms and system design. Later conversations went deeper into design and leadership.
The DSA questions felt like familiar structured problems, but I still had to find a correct approach under time pressure. In system design, I needed to explain trade-offs in detail. One round focused on a payment system: changes in payment state, different payment methods, durable execution and retries. I also discussed my previous work and how I'd approach the system we were designing.
Toward the end, I had a hiring-manager conversation. I left feeling I'd covered the design and reliability ideas they cared about, including scaling and fault tolerance. Things moved quickly afterward. Feedback arrived the next day, followed by reference checks with my current manager and coworkers before they released the formal offer letter.
Location: Bengaluru. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: got offer.
