After a recruiter screen, I had an HR call about my experience, salary expectations, and a detailed explanation of the process and interviewers. I then had several technical rounds in a structured but flexible sequence: general technical depth, system design, and behavioral or managerial evaluation.
Each technical round lasted about an hour. The questions tied closely to work I had described, including coding fundamentals, performance, good coding practices, and general system reasoning. In a later system-design interview, I proposed an approach to a realistic scenario.
By the hiring-manager and/or HR-debrief conversations, the process felt professional, quick to coordinate, and organized. People followed up on my answers instead of just running a script. I did not get an offer, but it felt fair and coherent, and I knew where I stood after each step.
Location: Berlin. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
