SLB Full Stack Engineer interview: puzzle, project discussion, DSA, and design

My process opened with a general HR-style introduction and then moved into technical rounds. The first technical round was light, with a basic puzzle that felt more like a check on how I think than a demand for deep mastery. A project discussion followed and became a standard conversation about explaining my work clearly. The next technical round shifted to medium-level DSA with basic system desi…

SLB Software Engineer interview experience: English exam and engineer interview

The process opened with an English exam and a basic logic and math check on a platform. Everything in the test was in English. Passing it was a clear gate, after which the process became an interview rather than another assessment. I then had about a half-hour interview with an engineer. I only learned whether I would move to the second round after that conversation, so there was little room to r…

SLB Software Engineer interview: fit discussion and portal English evaluation

After a recruiter-style conversation, I met with HR and then a manager or mentor. SLB Software Engineer interview: Java concepts and linked lists

The technical interview focused on Java concepts and data-structures fundamentals. I was asked about OOP, including the idea behind an "oops" concept and what variables to declare when creating an object. There were also linked-list questions. The questions were not presented as tricks. They tested whether my everyday Java knowledge and core data-structures understanding were really there. The qu…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
