Training Infrastructure of a Text-to-Image Generation System
Training infrastructure for a text-to-image generation system
Design a text-to-image training workflow around paired data, a specified model architecture, measured training throughput, and separate checks of image quality and prompt adherence. Distinguish a model’s training objective from the iterative process used to generate an image.
Text-to-image generation models produce images conditioned on text descriptions. Applications include illustration, design drafts, and product visualization. The output may be photorealistic or deliberately stylized, and it may omit or misrepresent part of the prompt. Define the intended use and acceptance criteria before choosing a model.
The task joins text conditioning with image synthesis. A request for “a blue cup to the left of a red plate” requires more than recognizable objects: the colors and spatial relationship matter too. DALL•E, Stable Diffusion, and Midjourney are examples of text-to-image product families, but their versions and implementations should not be treated as interchangeable.
The example below illustrates an initial prompt followed by a change. A service must decide how that change is represented, such as by revising the full prompt or using an image-editing workflow.
