Evaluation of a Distributed Messaging Queue’s Design

Evaluate the architecture by following queue lifecycle, message acceptance, delivery, and acknowledgement. For each path, test what the caller sees if the responsible component fails halfway through.

Functional requirements compliance

Queue lifecycle

For creation, validate the caller and queue parameters, allocate storage, and publish usable ownership metadata before reporting that the queue is ready. A retry should not accidentally create a second queue.

For deletion, define when the queue stops accepting work, how in-flight operations behave, and when its data may be reclaimed. Removing a cache entry alone does not revoke an old broker’s ownership.
