Intersystems Interview Questions

Intersystems Interview Questions

One technical screen, six reports, and a startling range inside a single conversation: that is what Intersystems looks like on this page, all of it from Software Engineer candidates. The hands-on end covers the longest palindromic substring in its textbook form, parsing nested XML held inside a CDATA block, which sits close to the data-integration work the company actually ships, and predicting what a program prints as it walks keys in insertion order. Elsewhere the screen leaves code behind entirely. There is a logic puzzle about timing an interval with two ropes that burn unevenly, which rewards narrating your reasoning rather than reaching for the trick. There is a round where you teach a networking concept to somebody who has never heard of it, graded on the explanation rather than the definition. And there is an open question about how you would evaluate an AI feature once it is in front of users. Difficulty is mild by the standards of this site, four medium and two easy, but only about a third of the page is readable without premium. Three questions have a written solution and one is runnable.
