Notion Interview Questions

Data work takes up more of the Notion loop than a docs product would suggest. Of 12 recorded questions, 6 came from Software Engineer interviews but 3 came from Data Engineer and 3 from Data Scientist ones, and 3 of the questions are SQL or pandas problems over document collaboration logs. Two separate prompts ask you to analyse how documents get edited and shared, which is precisely the telemetry the product generates. The engineering half is object modelling rather than algorithms: design a todo list object model, design a text editor with undo and redo, design a shared calendar service, design an event analytics platform. Interviewers want the entities, the operations allowed on them, and the edge cases where two people act on the same block at once, not a clever asymptotic argument. 5 questions open a runnable console and 7 include a written solution, with half the bank readable without premium. The round split is dead even, 6 in a technical screen and 6 onsite, and nothing here is rated hard, 10 medium and 2 easy.
