I started with a data-platform assessment containing Databricks multiple-choice questions and a PySpark coding problem. Soon after, I had a virtual interview focused on Databricks internals, including AutoLoader, plus another PySpark problem.
The later in-office round went deeper into the same ecosystem. We discussed CDC, SCD types, and Unity Catalog, and I again solved a PySpark coding question. It was not a generic software interview. The work stayed very specific to Databricks and Spark.
It did not feel like a gotcha process, but it was demanding. I could tell they were judging whether my hands-on knowledge matched the platform. I did not receive an offer, though the structure made the expectations concrete.
Location: India. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: no offer.
