Affirm phone screen — should be for an SDE2 role.
The interviewer started with casual mutual introductions for about 10-15 minutes (didn't feel like it needed to take that long, but she kept talking and I didn't want to interrupt).
The question was about two days of logs — find users who show up in both days and have loan type >= 2. The second part was to calculate a trust score.
I finished writing the first part, then realized the second question needed to call into what I'd written for the first one, so I had to redesign it a bit, which cost me some time.
The problem itself wasn't hard, but it was a bit of a pain to parse, and the interviewer barely talked the whole time, so I had no idea how I was doing. In the end I almost finished it, but not quite...
Two days later I got an invite for the HM screen. Does anyone know if they evaluate both rounds together at the end, or does getting the HM screen invite mean I already passed the technical screen? I really don't feel like I interviewed well, so I'm posting this to help everyone else out.
