The Amazon intern interview was pretty classic. The two rounds were back to back, one hour each.
The BQ part asked pretty classic stuff — mainly 3 common conflict scenarios, one dive deep, and one out-of-responsibility question, plus a relatively new question about using generative AI. There were quite a lot of follow-ups overall, but basically none of them were especially technical — my feeling was that it was more about confirming whether these experiences actually happened to you and whether you'd really thought them through.
For the coding part, the first round was OOD plus a graph question — the graph question was kind of like Course Schedule II. The second round was an easy hash table question, followed by a few fairly simple follow-ups.
Overall I felt pretty lucky — I didn't run into anything particularly hard. I happened to have done the Course Schedule question recently, so that one went smoothly, but OOD isn't an area I'm especially strong in. I spent a lot of time going back and forth with the interviewer confirming the requirements, and as a result, even though I finished writing the code, I barely had any time left to explain it fully before we moved straight into the BQ section.
Both interviewers were nice, and the overall atmosphere was pretty friendly.
