Before the interview, the recruiter scheduled a call and said the interview would focus mainly on two Leadership Principles. The recruiter suggested preparing the related behavioral questions in advance using the STAR format.
The first behavioral portion stayed mostly around those two Leadership Principles. After the first question, the interviewer dug further into the trade-off, so that discussion went fairly deep. There was no follow-up after the second behavioral question. Once I finished answering it, we moved directly into coding.
There were two coding problems.
The first was fairly simple. I needed to find duplicate data, and the returned results had to remain unique.
The second was the clock-hand angle problem, LeetCode 1344. My initial direction was a little off. By communicating with the interviewer, I gradually corrected my approach and eventually wrote all of the code. I completed the entire coding portion directly on a whiteboard and did a dry run.
The next day, I was notified that I had passed and could schedule the virtual onsite.
Overall, the interview experience was quite good. The recruiter replied very quickly and communication was efficient. The conversation with the interviewer also went smoothly, and the whole process felt relaxed and comfortable.
