After applying, I took an Amazon online assessment on HackerRank. The DSA section was heavy on prefixes and patterns, with a problem that felt like something in the longest-happy-prefix family. The next part involved debugging code. I did well there, so the overall assessment felt manageable even though the DSA question itself was a grind.
When I checked my DSA performance, the test coverage did not seem trivial. I was not breezing through it, but I still passed a solid portion of the hidden tests. The remaining assessment steps moved quickly for me. After the debugging piece, I completed a work simulation and a work survey.
At the time I wrote this, I was still waiting for an update after being selected to interview. The hardest part had been that DSA sweep and prefix-style question.
