Amazon Software Engineer interview: monitored OAs and three-engineer panel coding

My first interaction was a phone screen, a precursor to a heavier assessment. I completed several webcam-monitored online assessments on coding, bug catching, and behavioral decision-making for culture fit. After clearing them, I had a panel interview with three engineers, taking turns one by one. Each interview had coding and behavioral parts, with segments of roughly 45 to 60 minutes.

The OA included an easy sliding-window problem and a binary-search-style question. The first technical hurdle was not impossible, but it still required accuracy. In the live interviews, I needed to pair coding with communication: explain what I was doing and support it when questions pressed on my reasoning. The loop felt steady and structured rather than chaotic, but it still took endurance because of the hours and panel transitions.

Location: Dallas, TX. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: got offer.
