I started with a deep technical round that gradually broadened into leadership-oriented conversations. The first round covered middleware and networking fundamentals, including TCP, TLS, certificates, and how an F5 Big-IP device is upgraded and configured. It was detailed enough that I needed to be precise, but I could answer most questions and keep the discussion moving.

The next stage was a techno-managerial conversation with a director. It was still serious, but more about how I approached and communicated problems. Later discussions continued that mix, covering Java and backend topics such as Spring Boot and REST-style API thinking alongside questions about explaining my approach clearly.

I was surprised by the movement between protocol-level fundamentals and practical system-design ideas, including SOLID, REST architecture fundamentals, debugging, and bug handling under pressure. I was offered the role. The questions matched the engineering work instead of pushing me through buzzwords, and the interviewers seemed engaged with how I think.

Location: Pune. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: got offer.
