The process began reasonably but became confusing when it mattered. In a coding round, I solved a straightforward problem, yet the expectations kept changing. After I had a working solution, the interviewer shifted the problem and pushed toward more abstract architecture improvements without explaining the criteria. It felt as if a particular end state was expected instead of an open engineering trade-off discussion.
I encountered a similar change in another sequence. Early conversations, including a hiring-manager explanation and technical review, were welcoming. The system design interview changed the tone. It felt strange immediately and I received no positive feedback. It was not openly hostile, but the apathy felt uncomfortable beside the earlier friendliness.
The final rounds left me with a difficult feeling about both performance and the changing environment.
