Capital One Business Analyst interview: graph and percentage assessment

Capital One·Business Analyst·Reported Jul 2026
Online AssessmentRejectedHard

My process ended at the online assessment. My background leaned toward analytics, but the assessment was much more about business and math than analytics problems. The preparation material I found did not seem to match the format I received.

There was a small set of questions on graphs, data interpretation, percentage calculations, and reasoning beyond plugging in numbers. I worked through them, but I did not get the answers they wanted. The interviewer support did not make up for the places where I fell behind, and I later learned that I was not moving forward.

It was difficult for me because the evaluation did not line up with what I expected to be tested on. Being rejected after the assessment stung, but it showed me that the role leaned heavily on quantitative business fundamentals rather than the analytics angle I had relied on.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: negative. Offer status: no offer.
