I interviewed for C1's power day this week. Coming back to give back to the forum with my interview experience.
I was nervous going in because I hadn't finished prepping in time, but the whole process turned out to be pretty smooth and not that hard.
My power day order was case-bq-case-dc.
Round 1, case: a coding-style one, I'd already come across this one before so no real questions there.
Round 2, bq: the old classic three-piece set - help others, mistake, achievement.
Round 3, case: amusement park. I only knew this question existed but hadn't actually prepared it. At the start I was embarrassingly wrong on a simple multiplication - hit the calculator wrong and gave the wrong answer. After being reminded I corrected it, but the rest of the calculations and business questions went smoothly. Overall not that difficult either.
Round 4, dc: went through my slides, follow-up questions asked whether I used py or r, why python, which package I used to draw the pie chart, how I used delay time in the analysis, and which part of the dc work I liked most.
Earlier HR had told me she might be on vacation and not able to give me a timely update this week, told me not to be too nervous about it.
But the night after the interview HR reached out to invite me for team match.
I ended up team matching with the manager whose team the round 1 case interviewer works under. The bigger group looks like it's financial management. The smaller team has a lot of DE work, plus some software-related work - they gave examples like ETL and reconciliation, mostly using python.
Does anyone here know this group?
