In early July, a recruiter reached out to me proactively on LinkedIn, asking if I was interested, and said that if I was, they wanted to talk to me as soon as possible, as soon as possible, as soon as possible.
I said sure, and figured the day after next would work.
They vanished.
Four or five days later, at 6pm, they called me directly out of nowhere (probably because my LinkedIn settings let recruiters see my phone number) and scheduled a team call with me for the next day.
I said okay.
The HR screen mainly covered: my background, whether I knew about C1, why I thought I was a good candidate, and why I wanted to join C1.
Gotta vent about that last one for a second — if someone else asked me that, fine, but you asking me? Weren't you the one who reached out to me in the first place?
Then they told me to go apply on C1's own site myself.
Being polite, after I applied I messaged them on LinkedIn: thanks, I've submitted my application.
Three days later I got a reply: thanks for your message, could you please submit your application as soon as possible?
Me: ??? Sir, please go back and read your previous message, the one where you thanked me.
After that it was the usual OA, plus they helped schedule my mini case.
I'll come back and update this once I've gotten through it.
