Databricks, the full loop.

Screening

The classic optimal commute question, solved with BFS.

VO

Coding: a Fibonacci tree. Find the path from one node to another, e.g. "UUULLR".

System design: bookstore.

System programming: durable event write. The interviewer asked for pseudocode, and this round tests concurrent coding and file IO knowledge. I hadn't prepared for this area at all, so I failed.

The next day the HR told me I was rejected, and the behavioral and coding rounds that were left were cancelled.

The forum has write-ups for coding and system design, and everything I got was a question from those write-ups. But if you are preparing for system programming, you need to look at lower-level IO and concurrency knowledge on top of that.

Job hunting is not easy.
