Sharing my interview experience with Figma DS for the HM round — overall it was really bad. This is the only company where I finished the interview and immediately wanted to warn everyone else away from it.
They started by asking about my background and introducing the role. The HM seemed really low energy, like they were just going through the motions.
They asked about a project and my work background relevant to the role. Then there were two behavioral questions — how do you do cross-functional work and push things forward, and also how do you clarify a problem and help define a metric.
Throughout the whole interview the HM kept yawning and resting their forehead on their hand, and even the feedback felt really passive — it just didn't feel like someone who was actually trying to hire. At one point I started wondering if this was genuinely the HM's attitude toward hiring, or if they were doing this against their will somehow. The funniest part was that with one minute left, I was technically supposed to get a chance to ask questions (even though by that point I honestly just wanted to end the call), but then they said we're out of time, no room for questions. Every other company I've interviewed with would say something like "I can stay 1-2 more minutes if you have questions." So I really felt like this one wasn't worth wasting any more time on... sharing this so everyone else knows.
