After I applied, the first screen was a timed one-way HireVue. I recorded responses to behavioral prompts, with little or no technical content in the versions I saw discussed. Preparation was short and answers were constrained. In my format I had about 90 seconds to respond, while each question could allow roughly two minutes, and there was an option to retry. I preferred to submit a clean first response because the pacing was unforgiving.
The prompts were classic "tell me about a time" questions, including why J.P. Morgan, why investment banking or finance, teamwork, persistence, and problem solving. One asked about a market trend and where I thought the stock market might go in the next year.
After HireVue, I moved on to a Superday. I was not offered, but the process felt structured and consistent, mainly testing clear communication under time pressure.
