The interview focused on technical depth rather than only classic software problem solving. The panel was made up of hardware engineers, and the topics ranged across VLSI, analog work, and design engineering. It felt like a real technical discussion, and the interviewers seemed to engage with my answers instead of waiting for a memorized response.
One question genuinely threw me off because it felt too basic for an interview question. I even told the interviewer that I was surprised it had come up. I still treated it as a challenge, but I could not stop thinking about how uneven the difficulty felt against the rest of the topics.
I did not move forward to an offer. I left more confused than disappointed with my preparation because I could not reconcile my overall technical fit with the questioning I received.
