Intel Software Engineer interview: metrology technical final round

Intel·Software Engineer·Reported Jul 2026

My process had three rounds, with the last one explicitly technical. That discussion focused on metrology and current industry practices. It did not feel overwhelmingly difficult as long as I had done some research beforehand.

The first two rounds were more like screening and behavioral check-ins. I was asked about prior work and how I handled situations, and each interviewer kept the conversation to a small set of questions instead of letting it become open ended.

Overall, it felt manageable and well paced. I left with a positive impression of the structure and received an offer. What surprised me most was how clearly the process moved from behavioral screens into a specific metrology-focused technical round.

Location: Portland, OR. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: got offer.
