Oracle Software Engineer interview: panel rounds and a quick offer

The process felt smooth and organized, and it did not start with technical questions. I first had a screening-style call where the team explained what to expect and set the context. After that, I moved to team interviews that focused more directly on what I could do.

I completed two panel rounds, one technical and one behavioral, with questions aligned to the team's interests. The technical panel included Linux questions, which made it feel practical rather than abstract. The behavioral round was more about conversation and experience than puzzles. The interviewers were professional, clear about what they wanted, and willing to explain the role.

The experience had very little friction. People were friendly, the questions were understandable, and there were few gotchas. It took about three weeks from the start to the offer, and the process felt informative rather than exhausting despite several interviews in that time.

Location: United States. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: Got offer.
