I interviewed with them at the end of last month. First I talked with the HM, and a week later I went onsite at the company.
There were five rounds total, 45 minutes each. Every round started with questions about past projects, then a lot of content around k8s, networking, and cloud. Coding included typical LeetCode-style problems, plus one simple BFS. Design included a scheduler and metrics monitoring.
PANW mostly hires by team, so interview write-ups like this probably aren't that useful — I just used the job description and had ChatGPT help me prepare.
What wasn't great: the recruiter was pretty responsive at first, but a week after the onsite, my emails stopped getting answered. I eventually checked the candidate portal myself and found out I'd been rejected. These days that's nothing new — no response to a follow-up just means no offer by default, so I kept interviewing elsewhere.
Addendum (2026-04-28 03:53 +08:00): For the two onsites I've interviewed at recently, my car was broken so I had to take Uber, and neither company covered meals or reimbursed commute costs. Back in 2019, even for local Bay Area onsites, I didn't have a car, and other than one Chinese-owned company, every other onsite I went to covered lunch and reimbursed the cab fare.
