In April, a recruiter reached out and scheduled a video call to get a sense of my situation. They mentioned there would be a lot of openings coming after that.
In June I noticed a large number of Salesforce job postings, but the recruiter had forgotten about me, so I emailed to nudge them.
I was interviewing for SDE 2.
Round 1: hiring manager screening. Mostly asked about my background and why I wanted to join Salesforce.
Round 2: Online Assessment, two questions. I don't remember the first one — it wasn't hard. I don't remember the exact second question either, but the test case used 2^61-1 as input. I submitted it, and the next day I got word that I passed, and they started scheduling the third round.
Round 3 had no coding — it seemed to be specific to this GCP position. There were two interviews in this round.
The first one mainly tested public cloud knowledge. The interviewer seemed to be working from a required list of topics, covering computing, testing, and one GCP/AWS-related question. He was a senior guy and was very nice.
The second one was similar in format but went deeper — things like the control panel, worker nodes, master nodes, some kubectl commands, data security, CI/CD, and so on. The interviewer was probably a principal.
