The process included an online assessment, recruiter calls, a phone screen, a data project, and interviews about that work. I was rejected during the data interviews, before the planned onsite.
The first recruiter call included a few short probability questions. The hour-long phone screen covered algorithms, probability, linear regression, and a reasoning puzzle. I recalled questions on finding a median in a large dataset, an election's fairness, and a dice-sum probability. Another recruiter call introduced a data project to complete over several days.
Two interviews followed the project. I found the data-processing interviewer friendly. The strategy discussion felt confrontational: I thought the interviewer had misunderstood my explanation but continued pressing me on that basis. I was rejected afterward.
