Software Engineer interview at Amazon DSP: interview experience

Amazon DSP·Software Engineer·Reported Jul 2026
Hard

I had four interview rounds, each about an hour long, with people from different countries. The sessions were respectful and organized, mixing technical material with behavioral evaluation. Amazon Leadership Principles were central, and I needed concrete examples rather than general statements.

The loop included several DSA-focused rounds with leadership-principle questions throughout. There was also a practical GenAI component, where I answered basic GenAI questions while discussing my project background. Another round asked me to explain my thinking in terms of impact and ownership.

I did not receive an offer, but the interviews felt legitimate and thoughtfully run. The hardest part was staying coherent across coding fundamentals and behavioral framing at the same time.

Location: São Paulo, São Paulo. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: no offer.
