After a recruiter introduction, I had two long assessment interviews that blended coding and system design. One focused on practical implementation rather than LeetCode, while the other covered system design. The questions felt intended to resemble real engineering work instead of trick puzzles.
After I passed that stage, the process became a longer loop. In an integration coding session, I worked with an existing codebase and interacted with external APIs. Then came a behavioral discussion about adaptability, a presentation style technical conversation about a former project with other engineers, and a longer career history discussion with the hiring manager. The people I met were friendly and helpful, and the loop felt more like coordinated troubleshooting than an adversarial test.
I did not get an offer, but the experience was structured and human. What stayed with me was how much time interviewers spent exploring my thinking instead of simply scoring correctness.
Location: New York, NY. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: No offer.
