After the recruiter call, I sat for the TCS Prime interview. It was focused and structured, lasting about 40 to 50 minutes. It covered DSA, core programming, my projects, and Python OOP.
The technical section began with an AVL-tree coding task. I had to build an AVL tree from scratch with insert, delete, search, and LL, RR, LR, and RL rotations. I could not finish the implementation completely, and the interviewer moved on when I got stuck. I then handled other coding questions: printing a star pattern, implementing a circular queue, and deletion in a binary tree. I solved those and explained my approach.
We also discussed the motivation for my projects, technologies used, my personal contributions, and challenges. The Python OOP discussion covered classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation. Later, I was asked about deployment and how applications can be deployed. I did not get a Prime offer, but I was offered the TCS Digital role instead. The interview had clear pressure points, and not finishing the AVL implementation was the main thing that did not go perfectly.
Location: Greater Noida. Overall feedback: positive. Offer status: got offer.
