Total Wine & More Frontend Engineer interview experience: store tour followed by silence

I first interviewed with the store manager, and it went very well. A couple of weeks later I met with the district manager, and that conversation also felt positive. Afterward, the district manager had an assistant manager show me around the store. I could see how the work ran day to day, ask questions, and shadow him as he went through his routine.

I was there for almost two hours in total. Everyone I met was warm and professional, so I initially came away with a good impression of the company. What stayed with me, though, was the lack of anything after the second interview. I received no call, no text, and not even a generic rejection email.

That absence of closure was disappointing. I did not have a chance to ask how I could improve, and it made the process feel careless. They could have preserved the respect and professionalism I felt during the interviews by simply closing the loop.

Location: Knoxville, TN. Overall feedback: Negative. Offer status: no offer.
