The core stages took exactly one month and were packed. I started with an introductory call with the manager, then had a job-history interview and a home assignment with one week to complete it. I presented my solution in a meeting, and the process continued with an interview with the practice director.
I passed each stage with strong feedback, so I was genuinely optimistic. Still, no offer came. The draining part followed over the next two and a half months, when I kept receiving periodic updates as internal logistics changed. They talked about changing the contract length, delays because of business trips, senior-leader doubts after I had already progressed that far, and then a shift toward a fixed-term offer through a contracting agency, even though that had not been raised earlier.
The team remained friendly and apologetic, but being left waiting that long felt disrespectful. I would have preferred a clear rejection sooner rather than a process that kept stretching after positive feedback. In the end, no offer materialized, and I felt their internal process was not coordinated enough to manage candidates well.
