This one was exactly the same as another report I'd read on here. The interview itself was nice, though the interviewer spent a good chunk of time just explaining the problem.
The gist of it: the cameras generate some logs, and we needed to implement a middle-layer API server so that users could communicate with the cameras (sending requests and sending logs). We didn't need to worry about where the logs actually came from — during testing they just create some fake logs, and you only need to handle the API behavior itself. The overall problem description was really confusing, and it took me a while before I understood what I was actually supposed to build.
As a Java person, my day job also uses a REST wrapper library, so writing this by hand I was pretty rusty on a lot of the syntax. I'd suggest setting up and getting familiar with the syntax for REST API servers ahead of time. Using Python Flask would probably make it easier.
