The position is Site Reliability Engineer, so the interview covers Python and Linux. The questions weren't hard, but they really wore me out.
Python: given a string, count how many palindrome groups (palindromic substrings) it contains. The correct approach is to scan the string and, from each position, expand outward in both directions.
Bash: given a directory, output some deduplicated info about the most recently modified log file. The key thing here is you really need to know all the different usages of find — I spent a lot of time on this one.
I'd read both positive and negative reviews of this company's culture online before the interview, but the interviewer seemed fine to me. The company also moves pretty efficiently — right after this round they went ahead and lined up all my remaining rounds. Not sure yet if I'll land the offer smoothly.
